For over 30 years, I’ve been chasing horizons in large and small boats, teaching people to sail, running charters, and now building a global expedition fleet. I’m not here for clicks—I’m here for real wins on the water, in families, and in the next generation.
When people follow Catamaran Dan, they’re not just watching another sailing channel. They’re watching how a lifetime of sea time, teaching, and hard-won lessons turns into a global expedition fleet that actually does something for kids, families, and a warming planet.
A WINfluencer isn’t chasing views or vanity metrics. A WINfluencer is measured by real wins—kids gaining confidence on the helm, families reconnecting on the water, and brands helping make those moments possible in the real world, not just in an ad campaign.
Every video, post, or expedition update ties back to something real—skills, seamanship, and human connection. Nevado Raiders™ and Blue Rim 5™ aren’t studio sets. They’re live, salty, sunburned adventures where cameras follow what’s truly happening.
Long before anyone called me “CatDan the WINfluencer™,” I was just a kid who couldn’t stay off the water. That led to the U.S. Navy, qualifying in submarines, standing ship’s control watches, and learning how serious real-world seamanship and risk management really are.
After the Navy came years of teaching people to sail, running charters, and coaching brand-new skippers through their first real decisions on the helm. Those hours on the water are the foundation under everything I’m doing now with Nevado Raiders™ and Blue Rim 5™.
All those years on the water are now being poured into something bigger than just one boat or one skipper. I’m building a global small-boat expedition movement that starts at Nevado Ranch in Arizona and stretches out along some of the most interesting coastlines on Earth.
A hand-picked community of skippers, crews, families, and guardian vessel owners who want more than a yacht club. Nevado Raiders™ is about real skills, real risk management, and real miles on the wake log.
A long-range coastal expedition tracing the blue edge of the world—coastlines, islands, and river mouths reachable by sea—while we still have time to show kids what’s happening out there and how to move through it safely.
A high-country basecamp at 6,993 feet in Arizona where the planning, training, storytelling, and recovery all happen between legs. It’s the dry-land hub that keeps the whole project grounded and moving forward.
Not everyone is my people—and that’s okay. I’m speaking directly to the ones who feel a tug when they see a small boat on the horizon and know they’re supposed to be part of something more real than another algorithm-driven feed.
If you want your kids to remember more than a lifetime of screen time, you’re my audience. I’m here for the parents and grandparents who want confidence, skills, and shared stories that smell like saltwater and sunscreen—not indoor air and blue light.
Maybe you already have a boat. Maybe you’re still in the “someday” stage. Either way, if you’re serious about seamanship, risk management, and actually getting off the dock, you’re who I’m talking to. I want you in the conversation about Nevado Raiders™ and Blue Rim 5™.
I’m also talking to the people and organizations who care about kids, coastlines, and a rapidly warming world. Gear makers, schools, homeschool networks, climate communicators—anyone ready to back real-world adventure, safety, and honest storytelling instead of just buying impressions.
Whether you’re a sailor, a parent, a brand, or someone who just wants to be part of real-world adventure again, there are three main ways to plug into what I’m building. None of them involve pretending. All of them involve motion, honesty, and showing up for something bigger than another scroll session.
If you’ve got a Hobie Getaway, a Catalina 22 Sport, a similar expedition sailboat, or a guardian vessel, I want you in the fleet. Join one leg, several legs, or more—whatever makes sense for your life. We’re building Blue Rim 5™ one coastline at a time.
You don’t have to be ready to sail tomorrow. You just need to care about kids, coastlines, adventure, and a warming world. If something I say hits you in the gut or sparks a “hell yes,” then you’re in the right place.
If you’re a company or organization that cares about safety, kids, outdoor education, or honest storytelling, let’s talk. I underpromise, overdeliver, and protect the credibility of any partner who steps aboard.
Short, fast updates from the boats, Nevado Ranch Camp, and the early Blue Rim 5™ legs. Expect salt, gear, real moments, and the occasional “Better Beachy than Bitchy™” vibe.
This is where I break down routes, risk management, gear choices, and how we’re actually organizing the Nevado Raiders™ fleet. Less sizzle, more substance—built for people who really want to understand what’s going on.
The main hub for everything: expedition updates, background on Nevado Raiders™, Blue Rim 5™, and ways to get involved. If you’re serious about talking fleet participation or partnership, reach out directly.
If you want to keep an eye on how this all unfolds—Nevado Raiders™, Blue Rim 5™, and the behind-the-scenes reality of building a global small-boat expedition—here’s where to plug in.
